This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, reference 6008BA, is part of the legacy of one of the most iconic watches in horology. Created in 1972 by designer Gérald Genta, the Royal Oak revolutionized the industry as the first luxury watch in steel positioned at a high price point, featuring a bold and unconventional design inspired by ship portholes. Its octagonal bezel secured by eight visible screws, its “tapisserie” patterned dial, and especially its integrated bracelet quickly established a distinctive identity that remains instantly recognizable today.
